How was Kind und Jugend for you?

21/10/2013

Here's what BPA members participating in the UK Pavilion at Kind und Jugend 2013 have to say:

“My experience in the UK Pavilion was excellent. Everyone at the BPA was so helpful. It was a lovely reassurance for a newcomer. I felt welcomed and supported and met loads of great people. A big thank you to all!” Sara Keel, Babycup Ltd

“This was our first experience of being in the UK Pavilion and I found the experience better on every level. Speaking to suppliers from other countries there was certainly a sense of jealously about the UK Pavilion and what the BPA has achieved. It is great to see the BPA providing such concrete support and help to us all through initiatives such as these.” Guy Schanschieff, Bambino

“Overall we had a great show. We were able to support our existing distributors as well as getting serious enquiries from all over the world. We only need one or two to come off for the show to pay for itself.” Andrew Kluge, Cosatto

“It was an excellent quality show. I think our new business will not be able to grow without a show like this. The leads we encountered were amazing and they seemed really genuine. Perfect, and very well organized.” Rifat Jan, Fill n Squeeze

“The UK Pavilion felt busier than ever this year and certainly bigger! A lot of time is spent networking at this event which of course is very useful and in our position as a distributor we also have many potential suppliers approach us. The UK Pavilion is very visible and clearly helps everyone seek us out. We anticipate returning next year.” Peter Shaw, Hippychick

“Thank you for all your (and your team's) assistance with this year’s show.  If the verbal commitments I received turn into orders the show will have been a very good success for us.” Derek Wood, Inspired Products

“In terms of organisation, I would like to give a massive thanks to the BPA for making everything so easy for us! Everybody’s been super helpful in making this happen and I couldn’t be more grateful!  We are very likely to return next year.” Margarita Costa, Kub Products Ltd

“We can safely say that our position in the UK Pavilion was 100% better than previous years with at least a 50% increase in leads. It was a great sense of a UK community and had a great flow of people running through it. The UK pavilion was a roaring success from LittleLife's point of view and we will certainly be returning next year!”  Richard Codgbrook, LittleLife

"The UK Pavilion attracted a good number of visitors from around the world, Friday proving to be a particularly great day for us!  As a small brand we believe that by exhibiting within the UK Pavilion there is less chance of becoming overshadowed by the industry giants and we were able to confidently showcase our brand and successfully launch our new collections. We are more than pleased to have achieved our targets set for this year, and we will most definitely be exhibiting again next year!" Sheena Woods, Mabyland

“We were very happy to attend the show and will return next year. We got numerous leads ranging from single retailers, to multinational distributors from around 20 different countries.”  Robert Österbauer, Mamascent

“A very good show for the Milton team, I personally met some of the most important people possible from some of my regions, especially the Middle East which may help my whole strategy in the region. The TV advertisement for the Milton Mini Soother Steriliser showing on the stand created a lot of interest in the product and immediately showed potential distributers how the product worked. This could be a good tip to other companies who have to explain how products work as graphics have no language barrier. We will be back next year as big as ever and with new graphics and stands.”  Steve Riley, Milton Pharmaceuticals

“A good show for us with good orders and leads from Hungary, Malta, Chile, China and Czech Republic to pursue and also an opportunity to catch up with existing distributors.”  Paul Baines, My Buggy Buddy

“As usual we had a good show with plenty of leads and although the show seemed quieter than previous years, the leads seemed very genuine this time so fingers crossed!” Darren Jenner, My Carry Potty

“The show was very successful. We have been going now for eight years; however it’s the first time we have been in the UK Pavilion and we met with most of our big international customers and also came away with new leads too. It was brilliantly organised, very efficient, no complaints whatsoever.”  Juliet Vandenbrand, Natures Purest Ltd

“LOVED Kind Und Jugend and will definitely be attending next year - the best show for us to date.” Leanne Curtis-Cobb, Quack Quack Moo

“We found the first two days were tremendous in terms of visitor quantities and quality.  We notice that since we first exhibited at the fair in 2006, the number of German and UK visitors appears to have reduced, while the number of visitors from international markets has shot up, including small markets such as Panama and Mongolia, to name a few, that never used to visit.  Visitors from France have also increased markedly.  We are now working on converting the leads received.” Oliver Hale Revelo

“In terms of our experience of our first Kind und Jugend Cologne Exhibition, we were very pleased with the results. In fact we will book again but a larger stand next time.” Sinead Murphy, Schnuggle

“As always Skibz thoroughly enjoyed exhibiting at Kind und Jugend for its 6th year. It's great for meetings and makes far more efficient use of resources than visiting each country individually. The UK Pavilion was well sign posted from the moment you entered the building through to entering the Pavilion. The show is obviously great for new leads but also there’s a lot to be got out of networking – a few of us formed a group, interviewed various German PR agencies and have now found ourselves a potential decent German PR company that we share, reducing international marketing costs. As always the Networking reception was at a handy venue – we like to keep socialising to walking distance from home which is what our stand became! Thanks to the BPA team for organising such an impressive UK Pavilion – it’s very much appreciated.” Helen Bristol, Skibz

“I just wanted to drop you a quick line to say thank you all for the amazing job you did in Cologne. We had a great show and have picked up some excellent contacts. Looking forward already to doing it again next year!”  Lynda Harding, Sweet Dreamers

“This is the 9th year of Totseat’s involvement at Kind und Jugend and we were thrilled with it overall. The Totseat’s new fabrics were very well received and we were very pleased with the number of actual orders placed at the show. Within the BPA’s UK Pavilion we had a great position (early birds catch worms etc) which our visitors could find with ease, and the Pavilion as a whole was well promoted, signed and managed which always helps. The coffee area was an excellent focal point and easy for meetings. Many thanks to all involved.”  Rachel Jones, Totseat
